the city surrounds a magnificent lake. the apartment i am staying at is designed really well, simple, elegant, minimal. it overlooks the lake, is one block away from the train and water.
the city has cobble stone sidewalks, thin streets, bikes everywhere, old houses, mansions, moss and greenery.
design is everywhere. swiss air was like the twilight zone, compared to the many american air lines, dinner, dessert, free drinks, mini wine bottles, movies, video games, swiss chocolates, croissants, oj, coffee, need i say more... ?
an old lady helped me put my back pack on. she would not let me get off the train until my strap was on both shoulders. asked some locals where a "super market or grocery store is" and everyone looked at me like i was nuts - i walked quite a bit before finding one. german is the most prominent language here. it is raining now, supposed to snow tomorrow. i am super tired. goodnight.
