Brugge?

Brugge is bad ass. Wait, that does not give it justice, i take that statement back. let me start over...

Brugge, three hours outside of Amsterdam, by train. The city is famous for beer (thousands of beers, they are serious about their beer), tapestry, lace, chocolate, french fries (they call them Belgium fries) and the cities historic city center was added to the Unesco’s World Heritage List. The current city boundaries still coincide exactly with those of the medieval city center, all structures from the past have been preserved. It is surrounded by water and medieval walls, several parks and paths all along the city. I went on a bike ride and walk through the historical pieces, churches, and tourist areas. My couchsurfing host Lander took me on a tour he made up himself. It was fun and informational, and has inspired me to create a tour for phx and slc.

will write more later... must get ready for the day.
